I recently purchased Freshpet Vital Beef and Bison for our small yorkie / chihuahua mix. She has suffered from food intolerances and allergies, some being severe enough to require emergency veterinary intervention. When I first discovered Freshpet, I did my homework on ingredient sourcing, food recall history, and consumer reviews. Freshpet seemed to be too good to be true. The final test was if my five pound pooch would eat it. She started whining when I opened the package and that was a first for that type of eagerness. When I placed the portion in front of her, she gobbled it down and spent quite some time licking the bowl clean. Since she cannot tolerate grains or chicken and is seriously intolerant to any seafood, I was thrilled to find a food she not only can eat, but one that she loves to eat. I am sold on this product and will recommend it to all.
