Gable’s Story

I'm so happy I found Freshpet!! My Dachshund, Gable, was diagnosed with Acute Pancreatitis January 2016 after having sudden attacks of diarrhea and vomiting. We took him to the emergency hospital for treatment, and his Doctor told us to restrict his diet to plain chicken, rice, pumpkin, etc. I cooked this diet for Gable for several weeks, but he really didn't care for it and continued to have loose stools. Then I saw the Freshpet cooler in Costco on a routine shopping trip. I read the ingredients and bought my first box of 4 rolls of the chicken recipe with spinach and potato, grain free. The difference was amazing! His loose stool cleared up within a couple of days. Gable loves his Freshpet and has been on a Freshpet diet now for 7 years, 3 small meals per day. It must be working, because we just celebrated his 18th birthday on 12/7/22!!
