Riley’s Story

Riley is going on 12 years old in July. Two years ago in August he was hospitalized with liver failure and pancreatitis. He had a fever, was very listless and lethargic. His lab values were through the roof. He spent 4 nights in the hospital. We were sent home with a prescription low fat diet. His previous diet was strictly kibble. He would not eat the prescription diet. We returned what we had left and the hunt was on for a low fat diet he would eat. We tried everything and he turned his nose up. I decided to try Freshpet. He loved it!! After 4 months his lab values came down just a little bit. We hadn't checked them for a long time and he had a vet appointment a few weeks ago. I asked to have labs drawn. I was astonished that his labs were almost normal!! He has gotten much more hair and is more peppy. I truly believe that Freshpet saved his life.
