Isabella’s Story

My sweet treasure Isabella has had so many issues in her life. It started out with leg problems that required surgery on both her back legs. It was so hard on her she all but gave up. She wouldn't eat so I decided to start cooking her food. Sometimes she would eat it and sometimes she wouldn't. So, I tried several types of canned food and she would only sniff it and not eat it. So, I continued to cook her food with her eating a little and that's it. So, I saw a commercial for Freshpet and one of the people said that her dog had all but give up or quit eating something like that and I thought, oh my that sounds like Isabella. I went that very day and purchased two tubes of Freshpet dog food, chicken and beef. She gobbled it down and settled on the beef. She was also diagnosed with allergies a couple about three years ago. These allergies affected her coat and skin. I have to say, since changing to Freshpet, she absolutely has made a turn around. She is still not a big eater but eats most of what I give her. Her skin and coat have changed considerably and even feels softer and better. I can tell she feels better, more energy and overall better health. Her itching and scratching has slowed down to almost nothing. I thought I was doing a good thing by cooking her food which was meat, vegetables and either rice or millet. Now I know that even though I was cooking her what most dogs would devour, it wasn't right for her. So from now on, unless she changes her mind, which she might do today, Freshpet is what we are buying and feeding her.
