We adopted Lila 4 years ago as a 5 month old puppy. She is 1/2 Siberian Husky and 1/2 Labrador Retriever mix, and now weighs in at 55 pounds. Most of her traits as well as most of her appearance are those of a Siberian Husky, including the trait of being a picky eater. She is also subject to bilious vomiting - throwing up on an empty tummy, especially in the morning before breakfast. What does a person do for a dog who has to eat, but is picky and does not want to eat? I tried everything, different kibbles, different canned dog food, canned salmon and other people foods in the morning, but she wouldn't reliably eat any of this stuff. So I would pour a cup of milk in her bowl, and that she would usually drink. Then a few months ago I discovered the Freshpet cooler in my local supermarket, bought a roll and gave her a slice for the next breakfast. She gobbled it down, and we have never looked back. We buy any roll for adult dogs that has grains included. She loves the variety, and grains are as important for dogs as for people. None of us are paleo-critters anymore. Thanks so very much!
