Zoe’s Story

Hello Freshpet! Our girl Zoe is now 12.5 years old- my husband rescued her at 6 weeks. For the past 2-3 years she has had joint issues and was put on arthritis medication as well as attending physical therapy (yes, it's adorable). That medication caught up with her liver and, last year, right before the holidays we noticed Zoe a steep decline. She wasn't walking right, had extreme diarrhea and stopped eating. Zoe was always on Iams and never had an issue. We realized it might have been a bad reaction to the Deramaxx and immediately took her off- she was hospitalized for 2 days. She lived off of white bread and chex cereal. We were desperate and thought we needed to let her go- until my mom and mother-in-law suggested Freshpet. I swear to you that our lives have changed since she started this food. She is a puppy again- has always been one at heart, but her body can now keep up with her (within reason). She's off of her meds and hasn't been this healthy in years. You gave us more time with Zoe when we needed her most (we got married this year and I lost my grandmother in Oct 2018)- we weren't ready to let her go yet. Now, she's even getting picky with her Freshpet - we have to constantly buy different kinds to keep things "spicy".
